‘Hello Dolly!' coming to DVHS

WESTFALL — One of the most popular musicals of all time is coming. The Delaware Valley High School Drama Club presents “Hello Dolly!” on Friday, April 25 through Sunday, Apr. 27 in the high school auditorium. All three performances of “Hello Dolly!” will be preceded by the Harmonious Gardens Café and the Art Department’s annual art show can also be viewed before and after the show. The cast features seniors MaryCate Morrison as Dolly and Brian Mattos as Horace Vandergelder. Supporting roles are played by seniors Meg Palermo, Kevin Pinero, Becky Philhower and Eric Langberg; juniors Damon Ficken, Kelly Owens Moricone, and Kurt Merrill; sophomore Dionna Eshleman, and freshmen Alex Buda and Nadege Hoeper. Members of the company include: Ashley Burkert, Daniel Cella, Katie Donahue, Cristina Estepa, Jonathon Fornoff, Morgane Fouse, Anthony Fragola, Joey Gallagher, Natasha Green, Katherine Haar, Kayla Holzer, Taylor James, Ryan Jameson, Kat Kreischer, Wesley Mandoske, Megan Paul, Anthony Pilla, Anthony Reyes, Jason Sandonato, Theresa Tribus, and Jaime Wright. Originally starring Carol Channing, the show opened on Broadway in 1964. The 1969 film version co-starred Barbra Streisand and Walter Matthau. Long-time DV Drama director Kim Golden has been working since February to make this huge production picture-perfect. Choreographer Melissa Thomas, Musical Director Lance Rauh, Vocal Director Sandy Stalter, Assistant Director Caroline Lehman, stage manager Laura Walsh, set designer Steve Davis, and lighting designer Brian Riker complete the list of professionals who have been working overtime to prepare this show for opening night. Parents of the Booster Club organize and staff many other activities, including the Harmonious Gardens Café. Tickets are $10 for adults, $7 for students/senior citizens.
