Home show offers value for homeowners during tough times
Pike Builders’ Home Show offers quality products and services Milford The Pike County Builders Association will be holding their annual Home Show at the Best Western Inn, at Hunt’s Landing, Route 6 & 209 at exit 53 off I-84 in Matamoras, this weekend, March 27, 28 & 29. The Home Show has displays on all phases of building and remodeling. Over sixty exhibitors will present up-to-date information on new home products, construction, appliances, lighting fixtures, decorating and much more. This year the Association will hold a free seminar on Saturday March 28 at 9:30 a.m., prior to the show opening, on “How To Choose A Contractor”. This seminar is presented by Jerry Leach, from the Pennsylvania Builders Association in Harrisburg, and will walk you through the process of securing the right contractor for your needs. The association will have the Pike County Fire Federations “John J Kurz” smoke house for the children to tour at the show as part of an educational program for fire prevention, home safety and the use of the 911 system. Find out more at the show about the “New Contractor Registration Law!” The state Attorney General’s Office will have a booth and staff on hand to discuss the new Home Improvement Contractor Registration law. The Home Show is open to the public from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. A $2 per person admission fee will be charged per adult, children under 16 are free. The proceeds from the admission will benefit the association’s scholarship fund. The Pike County Builders Association gives away eight scholarships each year to Delaware Valley and Wallenpaupack Area High Schools.
