DINGMANS FERRY — The chilly weather on March 27, didn’t stop the vendors or shoppers from showing up at Legion Post #851 in Dingman’s Ferry. As the first of the season’s events, the post held a Saturday midday craft and bake sale and vendors were offering: candles, household items, homemade jewelry, homemade dog biscuit gifts in a jar, canned preserves, precious coins, handmade wooden bird houses, fudge and holiday items - just to name a few. Potential buyers were sampling and sniffing all types of sale goodies. “This is just the first of many events we plan to have in the spring and summer,” Post Commander Barry Privatt explained, “we’re here, but nobody knows we open the doors to the public. We plan on having a yard sale, 4th of July and Memorial Day barbecue and another craft and bake sale.”
