How to make it better for business

MILFORD Milford merchants are looking for ways to take full advantage of their locations. The borough isn’t going to get any bigger nor will it become less historic, so business expansion and renovation problems are unlikely to change. But Geoffrey Brace of the Pennsylvania Downtown Center said on July 12 that history can work for towns of any size, and that the state grants can help fund cooperative marketing and development programs, even help pay for staff to run them. “First, you have to decide what you want your community to be,” he said. About 40 business owners were on hand for the introductory session, which Borough President Matt Osterberg and the Milford Business Council organized. For more information, visit www. padowntown.org.
