Junior achievement at the library
Entrepreneurship for both young and old MILFORD There is still time to join Junior Achievement at the Pike County Public Library. “Junior Achievement: Be Entrepreneurial,” has come to Pike County. PCPL, the Junior Achievement Program, Dime Bank, Cellular One, the Pike County Chamber of Commerce, and the local business community are partnering to bring this exciting program to the community. Join some exciting business owners as they bring you the facts on different elements of entrepreneurship. Upcoming presentations include: March 31: Katrina Foster, President of KKPR Marketing, will be speaking on “What’s My Business.” April 7: Don Quick, Publisher of the Pike County Press and Port Jervis News will be discussing “Who’s My Customer?” April 14: Hillary Needleman and Robert Grimm, managers of the Muir House, will discuss “What’s My Advantage?” April 21: Matt Dorcas, Local Sales Manager for Bold Gold Media will discuss “Competitive Advantages.” April 28: Eric Hamill, Esquire with “Ethics Are Good for Business.” May 5: The program will conclude with business plan presentations put together by all of those attending the program. The facilitating panel for this final presentation will be Davis R. Chant, Chairman of the Board for Davis R. Chant Realtors; Rachel Hendricks, Deputy Director of Economic Development at the Pike County Economic Development Authority; as well as Marcia Guberman, Vice President, Commercial Loan Officer of Dime Bank, who is also the Program Chairperson. This is a great opportunity for parent and teenager to attend this program together, or on your own, and it will look great on college and employment applications. This is a free program. The program will run for six more weeks on Wednesday evenings, through May 5, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Library Annex, located at 201 West Harford Street (across from the Post Office).
