Kasper named Wayne executive VP

Honesdale William W. Davis Jr., president and chief executive officer of Wayne Bank, recently announced the promotion of Edward C. Kasper to executive vice president and senior loan officer. Kasper has been head of the Corporate Banking Division since 1997 and was previously the senior vice president, and senior loan officer. Originally, Kasper joined Wayne Bank in 1986 as vice president and commercial loan officer. According to Davis, “Ed has done a terrific job with the commercial area of the bank. Year after year, we count on him and his team to develop outstanding, solid, commercial relationships, and repeatedly, Ed rises to that challenge.” Kasper holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Penn State. He majored in finance and has a minor in economics. Kasper is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Bankers Association Commercial School of Banking at Bucknell University and a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking from the University of Wisconsin. He also received certification from the FDIC School for advanced examiners, senior examiners, and advanced bank analysis, as well as various coursework with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Federal Reserve. Before joining Wayne Bank, Kasper worked for thirteen years with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Banking as a Senior Commercial Bank Examiner. Kasper and his wife, Kathy, reside in Honesdale and are the parents of Amy and Mark.
