MORRISVILLE - The Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission began single lane closures on the Milford-Montague Toll Bridge across the Delaware River on October 24. For a multi-week period, a single lane of traffic will be closed on weekdays during daytime hours to allow for bridge inspections in advance of a $10 million to $15 million rehabilitation of the bridge. During the lane closures, traffic control measures will be in place. Inspection work is anticipated to take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays. On Fridays, work will be performed from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bridge will reopen to full-time vehicular traffic at the end of each workday and during the weekend. The bridge inspections and paint inspections are in advance of the Commission’s major rehabilitation of the Milford Montague Toll Bridge.
