Learn to calm down and relax

    Dingmans Ferry - Pike Physical Therapy & Fitness Center is offering a special meditation workshop on Dec 8. In this meditation seminar, taught by Scott Aronin, you can learn to control your mind and to choose your thoughts. Through meditation you can experience the beautiful space between your thoughts and experience true peace. Some days are stressful and some events are difficult to deal with in life. Sometimes we feel that we can’t control when we feel this way, that peace, calm and joy are just too far away. Learn simple techniques that you can use any time to bring about the experience of calm and relaxation. Even if you have never tried meditation or relaxation techniques before, this introductory seminar should bring about an experience of deep relaxation that can make a valuable difference in your life. Aronin has studied numerous meditation forms including Transcendental, Taoist and Chi Kung. He has an MS degree in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, is a yoga instructor and has been a personal trainer since 1991. He is also a practicing Buddhist. The workshop will be held at Pike Physical Therapy & Fitness Center and runs from 7:15 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on both days. The cost is $20 to Fitness Center members and $35 for non-members. There is limited space available so pre-registration is encouraged to guarantee a spot. Pike Physical Therapy & Fitness Center is located at 1346 Route 739 in Dingmans Ferry, across from the Dingman Delaware schools. The facility offers outpatient physical and occupational therapy treatment by medical referral for sports injuries, post operative, neurological, orthopedic, neck and back injuries. A state-of-the art fitness center is also located on-site offering cardio and weight equipment and over 30 hours of fitness classes each week.
