Milford Meeting Wednesday as the county election board, Pike commissioners approved the placement of a library tax question on the fall ballot.. Elections Director Gary Orben said 1,047 of more than 2,000 petition signatures were certified. They stopped reviewing them at that point, since only 705 signatures were required for ballot placement. A brief sticking point came up as library board vice chair Tom Hoff asked about changing the language of the ballot question - to make it more definitive of what the vote meant, Hoff said. County Solicitor Tom Farley said early agreements by all parties had specified that the ballot language would remain the same as the petition language. The measure passed unanimously..
