Fifth grader reporter, Karrina Snyder is pictured delivering a closed circuit televised report about President George Bush having been called for jury duty. The young reporter explained, “I am reporting a story about President Bush and his notice to report for jury duty. The program I am reporting on is called DVE-TV. What Delaware Valley Elementary School fifth graders (like me) do in our school is come to school an hour early each day to get stories from the newspaper and change them into our own words. We re-write them and report them on a live broadcast throughout our school each morning at 9:05 a.m. We report news, features, sports, weather and special interviews with guests.” Karrina and reporter Rachel Workstel, who re-wrote the newspaper story that was the basis for the report, are following up with a request for an interview with the President when they visit Washington D.C. this June.
