‘LobsterFest' at Laurel Villa

    MILFORD — The Laurel Villa Country Inn and Restaurant will host its Second Annual “LobsterFest” event on Friday, July 16 at 7 p.m. “This is a traditional New England-style celebration,” said Janice Halsted, Innkeeper at the Laurel Villa. “We’ll be outdoors under the stars with fresh seafood cooked to perfection.” The “LobsterFest” event will feature an appetizer of steamed mussels and clams followed by salad and fresh-baked bread, local corn on the cob, baked potato, and a one to one and a quarter pound lobster. Ice-cold beer on tap will be available all evening as part of the cash bar. “Our regular menu also features oysters on the half shell and steamers, as well as fresh soft shell crabs,” said Halsted. “We have great seafood for every taste.” Seating for the “LobsterFest” event is limited, and reservations, at $30 per person, are required by Sunday, July 11. The Laurel Villa serves dinner from 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday, and features a lighter “Pub Menu” at the bar in addition to its full dinner menu.
