4-H plans summer camp for horse-crazy kids
MILFORD — 4-H Horsemanship Day Camp is a dream come true for kids who love horses.
In this hands-on introduction to the equestrian world, children ages 8 to 18 will learn from certified industry professionals and educator.
The camp will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, at GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center in Milford.
Although the camp does not include riding, children will be guided through the art and science of equestrian activities. Fun and games will rule the day, but don’t be fooled — the skills offered at 4-H Horsemanship Day Camp are the foundation of all equine activities.
The camp is free for 4-H members and $5 for non-members. Children should bring a bag lunch. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Long pants and closed shoes are required. No sandals or flip flops, please.
Registration, including payment is due at Penn State Extension, 514 Broad St., Milford, PA, 18337 by June 1.
Space is limited. To register, call 570-296-3400 or email pikeext@psu.edu.
