Milford. Aidan Kane is the recipient of the 2019-2020 Milford Garden Club Scholarship Award. Each year the club raises funds to award a $1500.00 scholarship to a graduating senior showing an interest in study related to horticulture, agriculture, forestry and other subjects related to the club’s mission. Aidan is a Delaware Valley High School graduate who was active in clubs, sports and volunteering. His goal is to earn a biology degree and go into the field of plant genetics and sustainable agriculture at Penn State this fall. He believes the future holds many opportunities in this field and plans to study how we will be better able to feed our growing population by harnessing plant technology in the right ways. Aidan is very grateful for these funds, which will be used to help defray a small part of college costs. The club congratulates him on his hard work and wishes him continued success in his educational path.
