The nonprofit Black Bear Film Festival recently contributed to four other nonprofits serving the community: Pike County Hands of Hope, the Pike County Public Library, the Pike County Humane Society, and the Pike County Ecumenical Food Pantry. Pictured (from left) are Will Voelkel, Black Bear board member and director of the Black Bear Salon and food pantry volunteer; Nancy Potter, food pantry director; Carmela Montaperto, food pantry liaison; the Rev. Van A. Bankston, Rector, Good Shepherd and St. John's Episcopal Church; and Jay Tucker, food pantry volunteer. "We thank our sponsors, advertisers, volunteers, bear artists, silent auction donors and attendees for the successful 16th annual festival," said a statement from the festival. "Without your support, Black Bear would not have been possible. It is our pleasure to be able to donate."
