Board approves tuition increase for Pennsylvania colleges

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — It will cost more to study at Pennsylvania's 14 state-run universities.
The state's Higher Education Board of Governors on Thursday approved a 21/2 percent tuition increase.
Tuition for most fulltime Pennsylvania residents will cost $3,619 per semester, or $7,238 for a year.
Officials say it is the smallest percentage tuition increase in a decade.
The universities include Bloomsburg, California, Cheyney, Clarion, East Stroudsburg, Edinboro, Indiana, Kutztown, Lock Haven, Mansfield, Millersville, Shippensburg ,Slippery Rock, and West Chester.
