Breakfast supports therapeutic riding at GAIT

MILFORD — More than 70 people came out to the Flapjack Fundraiser at Newton Applebee’s on May 7 to support GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center of Milford.
GAIT raised $1,600 for the care of its specially trained horses, who are retired from their first careers.
The breakfast was prepared by Applebee’s staff and served by GAIT volunteers. Attendees included GAIT staff, board members and volunteers, GAIT supporters, family members of riders and members of the public.
The event was supported by Dan’s Auto Detailing, Chant Realty of Milford, Soné Natural Products, Orr and Atwood for Assembly, On Stage Travel, and Van Wyk Farms.
GAIT is a non-profit organization accredited by PATH International, which sets safety standards for therapeutic riding centers around the world. GAIT’s mission is to improve the lives of children and adults with special needs through equine therapy.
