Brodhead Watershed Association welcomes 10 new board members

Brodhead Watershed Association has elected 10 new members for its board of directors, each with unique backgrounds and talents to support the organization’s advocacy for clean water.
The election and induction were held at the annual BWA Members & Friends Celebration held Sept. 29 at Pocono Manor.
The new directors are:
Damary Bonilla-Rodriguez of Bushkill, who was recently appointed by Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf to serve on his statewide commission on Latino affairs
Brittney Coleman of Cherry Valley, an environmental educator for Monroe County Conservation District
Matt Connell of Brodheadsville, dean of the Monroe Campus of Northampton Community College
Rich Cramer of Stroudsurg, a retired educator who served as a superintendent, assistant principal and middle school mathematics teacher
Matthew Dilger of Mountainhome, a plant operator and source water protection educator (aka Dr. Waters) for Brodhead Creek Regional Authority
Fallon Horan of Roseto, a community planner for the Monroe County Planning Commission who oversees the county’s open space program
John C. Layton of Pocono Manor, a retired FBI agent who served in Dallas, Texas, and Washington, D.C.
Rob Sedwin of Scotrun, sales manager for JNR Erosion Control Services
Jennifer Shukaitis of Stroudsburg, who works for Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono and Dennis Deshler Accounting
Kathy Uhler of Cherry Valley, director of Pocono Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
About the associationBrodhead Watershed Association is a nonprofit environmental organization formed in 1989 and dedicated to protecting and preserving water resources and the environment of the Brodhead watershed, and the water quality of the Brodhead, Cherry, Marshalls, McMichael, Paradise and Pocono creeks and their tributaries. BWA assists municipalities, residents, businesses and groups with protecting natural resources through education, workshops, seminars, public programs and stream monitoring.
