Calling All Angels to hold grand re-opening
MILFORD — Calling All Angels Thrift Shoppe is celebrating its move to 214 East Harford St. in Milford with a grand re-opening on Saturday, Aug. 5.
There will be sales, specials, music and other fun going on that day.
“Many people came in and helped move some things to the new location, clear out some things from the old location,” said Charles Reynolds, board secretary of Calling All Angels Mission. “But the biggest kudos has to go to our board vice president, and facilities chair, Robert Abbot. He organized and executed almost all of the move. And the second biggest thank you has to go out to Mike Zimmerman, who came in at the last minute and helped Robert knock out the last of what needed to be done.”
Reynolds also thanks and attributes the smooth transition to the other board members Penny Werner and Lauren Anderson-Reynolds, and to the many volunteers — including Eric Sposato, Angel, Nicole, Isaiah, Dorothy, John, Raven, and many more.
“It really was a group and community effort,” said Reynolds. “I have to reorganize my files and find places for things like staples and hammers and other tools — the usual things you do once you have moved in. But having the heavy part of the move done will now allow us to concentrate on getting people to know where we are and to getting back to the business of helping people in our community.”
