— Adults who earn their living in all kinds of ways talked about their work to students at the annual Career Day at Dingman Delaware and Delaware Valley Middle Schools.

Presenters talked about their unique personal experiences to give students a multifaceted view of their careers. Students learned the practical aspects of education and preparation, the personal commitment required, and the rewards and satisfactions that come with each occupation.

State Representative Marty Flynn gave his presentation at Dingman Delaware, where students learned about the election process and what it takes to get re-elected.

“We all have a state representative that votes and makes decisions for us to help benefit those they represent,” one student noted. “If people don’t like what an official has done, they don’t vote for him again.”

Kim Palko, counselor, planned and directed Career Day at Delaware Valley Middle School, where students could attend three sessions out of 22 presented.
