Chinese culture offered in after-school program

— After-school programs for children will be offered by the Gui Zhen Society in Milford — "a traditional setting in today's times," says founder Erik Oliva.
"Your children will be immersed in ancient culture and martial arts training," Oliva said. "They will embark on a journey of self cultivation, meditation, Qigong, philosophy and health."
He said the programs were also taught to middle school students in China for a cultural enrichment program created by Great Nature Cultural Society's founder. They include:
Traditional Wushu (martial arts) for kids ages 5-18, a curriculum that focuses on health, self defense and strength training
Kungfu strength training and basics
Qigong Internal Health and Strength Development
Chang Quan first form
Sparring
Baji Quan short form
Wing Chun form combinaton and training
Chen Taiji 13 Form
Xing Yi 5 Elements
Bagua 8 Mother Palms
Zong Huan Taiji Quan
