Delaware Valley High School students earn National Scholastic Art Awards

WESTFALL In January, the Art Department celebrated a successful season at the Regional Scholastic Art Awards.
Following that, Delaware Valley has recently been notified that several of their Gold Key winners have also been recognized at the National level.
No one in the history of Delaware Valley High School has ever won a National Scholastic Art Award and this year DV has three students who have earned this great honor.
Over 100,000 students participated in Scholastics this year and only the Gold key winners from Regionals are considered for Nationals. This year that number totaled over 13,000 students. From that amount, approximately 1,500 award medals were bestowed on the nations most talented teen artists and writers.
One of DVs winners is senior, Lauren Jones who has won a silver medal for her silver jewelry design, "Pharaohs' Affinity."
Ninth grader, Sarah Hartmann earned a silver key for her block print, titled, Summer.
Junior, Danielle Misiaszek earned a Gold Key for her photograph, Big Red.
All three students will be honored at New York's Carnegie Hall in June.
