Dingmans Ferry Lions Club donates to Children's Vision Program

The Dingmans Ferry Lions Club donated $350 towards the purchase of a camera for Lions Kids Sight USA (lionskidsightusa.org), a nationwide program that safeguards the vision of children through age 6. Since, according to educational experts, 80 percent of learning is visual, a child who cannot see well cannot learn well. Yet most children don’t get their vision screened until they have difficulty in school, when the vision problem may be too late to correct. The local club raised the money at its October breakfast celebrating 40 years of community service. To learn more, visit the club's Facebook page or call 973-919-2837. Pictured is David D.
