— Aesthetic Family Dentistry is hosting its annual Halloween candy donation program at its office, located at 155 East Main St. in Port Jervis.

Now through Nov. 2, you can drop off unwanted or excess candy at Aesthetic Family Dentistry in exchange for a gift bag. The dentistry practice will then send the donated treats to military service members and their families.

“Aesthetic Family Dentistry has seen great success with this program in the last few years,” said the practice’s owner, Dr. Seth Horn, DMD. “By conducting this event, we are able to support members of the American military, as well as provide an opportunity for children to learn the gift of giving.”

Operation Gratitude is a non-for-profit charity that sends care packages to service members. Since its inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude has sent more than 1,000,000 care packages filled with snacks, entertainment items, and personal letters of appreciation. The packages are individually addressed to service members deployed in hostile regions, to their children left behind, and to veterans, first responders, wounded warriors, and their caregivers.

Everyone who donates candy will receive a dental gift bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and other dental goodies.
