— Musicians from Delaware Valley High School traveled to Moravian College in Bethlehem on Nov. 19 to participate in the Moravian College Trombone Day Festival.

Ashton Forichon, Matthew Lombardo, Morgan Boonyam, Maksymilian Henzel-Kedzior, Gwen Boonyam and Ashley McDougall were accompanied by their band director, Lance Rauh.

The young musicians had the opportunity to participate in a number of workshops led by famous trombone experts, including Ralph Brodt III and Rob Stoneback. The workshops focused on basic trombone techniques and stylistic interpretations of trombone solos.

The highlight of the daylong festival was a question-and-answer session with world-famous trombone player and commercial artist Robin Eubanks. Students were also able to talk with Moravian professors and get a close-up look at what it might be like to major in an arts-based curriculum in college.
