— We were excited to have Mr. Al Pitrelli of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra here on DVE-TV. Mr. Pitrelli explained that he started with TSO in 1995 when the inventor of TSO asked him to play some of his songs.
He told us that TSO plays throughout the United States and Europe. Although they are one band, at Christmas time they get so busy that they have two bands that play each side of the country. They do sometimes play in the spring and summer. Out of all the bands Mr. Pitrelli has been with, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra is his favorite. He finds it difficult to be away from his family, especially at Christmas time.
He began playing music in third grade. He was given a trumpet because he was too small to be a football player. From then on, he always wanted to be in a rock band. The advice he would give someone who wants to start a band, is that it takes practice and lots of it. Thank you, Mr. Pitrelli, for coming on our show!
