On May 19, Delaware Valley High School Orchestra students performed during a planting ceremony held at Old Center Square Park in Milford. The school district explained that the seeds used came from an American Revolution-era tree, known as The Liberty Tree, which were preserved and distributed for planting in each of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties.

This event is part of a series of celebrations throughout the Commonwealth meant to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States.

Musicians Eric Choi, Claire Choi, David Agron and Dominick Agron played a selection of patriotic songs.

The school district gave thanks to DVHS orchestra teacher Lauren Flack, as well as Eileen Smith of the Grey Towers Heritage Association for helping to organize this event.
