Ed Nikles sweeps building awards

— Ed Nikles Home Builder swept the Wayne-Pike Building Industry Association 2016 Home Awards Gala, winning awards in all five categories they entered.
The awards were presented June 16 at the Silver Birches Waterfront at Lake Wallenpaupack. The industry recognized Ed Nikles for its outstanding performance in the following categories:
Best Residential Construction less than 2,000 square feet
Best Residential Construction less than $250,000
Best Remodeling Project between 2,000 and 4,000 square feet
Best Whole House Renovation between $150,000 and $400,000
Best Commercial Remodeling under 10,000 square feet for their work on the Convene Conference Center at the Hotel Fauchere in Milford
This year’s round of awards serve to highlight the diversity of the construction company with winning entries attained in the categories of new home construction, residential remodeling, and commercial remodeling.
“My son, Ed Nikles Jr., as well as our staff, are very proud to have received these awards," Ed Nikles said.
Ed Nikles Jr. thanked architect Hector Baras, designer-salesman; Jim Leighty, field superintendent; Bill Gilpin and the staff, including bookkeeper Bette Eagan, estimator Denege Hashagen, and administrative assistant Laura Pollard.
Ed Nikles previously won many building awards from The Pocono Builders Association, The Pike County Chamber of Commerce, and The Pike County Builders Association. In 2008, the firm was honored by The National Association of Home Builders as Custom Builder of the Year.
