Honoring those who make life better in the Upper Delaware Valley

— The Upper Delaware Council recently honored people and organizations who have contributed to protection of resources or quality of life in the Upper Delaware River Valley.
Ninety-four guests attended the council's 29th annual awards ceremony, held April 23 at Central House Family Resort in Beach Lake, Pa., to applaud the honorees.
The Upper Delaware Council includes representatives from the following towns, working together to conserve the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River: Town of Hancock, Town of Fremont, Town of Delaware, Town of Cochecton, Town of Tusten, Town of Highland, Town of Lumberland Town of Deerpark, Damascus Township, Berlin Township, Lackawaxen Township, Shohola Township, Westfall Township, State of New York, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the Delaware River Basin Commission, in partnership with the National Park Service.
