KDC-Kolmar expands with new warehouse

PORT JERVIS — Kolmar Laboratories, a KDC Company and custom manufacturer of color cosmetics, skin care and personal care products, has acquired a new warehouse, less than two miles from its current production site in Port Jervis, N.Y.
The 100,000-square-foot warehouse has a high-density racking configuration to allow for 40 percent more storage capacity, which will allow future growth. The purchase also includes additional acreage to allow for potential expansion in the future.

"By enhancing our facility with a state of the art warehouse, our customers will benefit from continuous improvement in service, quality, capacity and operational efficiency."
The warehouse upgrade, which began this month, will use an environmentally conscious design and construction, including the use of natural day lighting, motion sensor LED lights and photocell light controls, Edmonds said. Kolmar will ultimately employ a staff of 10 at this location.
In the cosmetic and personal care industry since 1921, Kolmar custom-formulates and manufactures color cosmetics, skin care, and personal care products. Kolmar offers everything from product concepts to filling and assembly.
