Lacawac to give lifetime achievement honors at farm-to-plate dinner

LAKE ARIEL — Lacawac Sanctuary is planning another night of specialty cocktails and farm-to-plate food.
Dine al fresco at Lacawac's 115-year old Watres Lodge on Aug. 11. Guests will sit down, surrounded by the forest, to a station-style supper that celebrates local cuisine prepared by Settlers Hospitality Group. The dinner will also feature live music and a silent auction.
“This is a great opportunity for the community to come together and honor those who are making a difference in the lives of those in our community,” said Craig Lukatch, sanctuary president. "Without the support of our friends and volunteers, Lacawac would not be able to provide quality education programs for PreK through 12th-grade students and shape the next generation of Earth stewards.”
During the dinner, Lacawac’s Board of Trustees and staff will honor two people and a company that have given tirelessly to Lacawac and its growth over the years:
Lifetime Achievement in Research: Dr. Clyde Goulden, The Academy of Natural Science, Philadelphia
Lifetime Achievement in Education: The Dime Bank
