Lake Region Center offers spring business courses
HAWLEY — Lackawanna College is offering a slate of spring business programs at Lake Region Center, located at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley.
Sales Skills Training on Monday, March 6, from 9 a.m. to noon. This program is presented by Steve Schiffman, an author of over 50 bestselling sales books. The program is for anyone in sales or the selling industry including business owners or would-be owners. It will include such topics as: introduction to sales, the fundamentals of selling products or services, dealing with the competition, goal setting and much more. The cost is $99 and includes workbook and materials.
Business Social Media on Thursdays, March 16 and 23, from 6 to 8 p.m. This program includes such topics as integrating business online and utilizing PayPal options, business promotional techniques, creating a commercial video online, as well as blogging and business. Students will learn how to create and register a domain name, create a business blog, and networking business on social media. Upon completion of this program, students will have the skills needed to network a business via social media. The cost is $99 and includes materials.
IIntentional Networking on Tuesdays, April 11 and 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.: Networking experts Bob Courtright and Marty Wolff go beyond fundamental networking and will teach you how to not only connect with people, but positively influence them. This program will take you on the journey of networking and influence using the book "Network: All the Time, Everywhere with Everybody" by Jack Killion. This course will be held at the Wayne Pike Workforce Alliance. The cost is $159 and includes materials
Real Estate Prelicense Courses, Mondays and Wednesdays, Feb. 27 to May 8, from 6 to 9 p.m.: This course is geared to prepare the student for the State Licensing Exam. The Pennsylvania Real Estate Commission regulations require an applicant successfully complete a 60-hour program consisting of real estate fundamentals and real estate practice before they can apply to take the exam. The cost is $550.
