There is no more certain sign that “spring has sprung” than the Milford Garden Club Perennial Plant Sale! The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 18 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church Hall, 200 High Street in Milford.

Each year, expert members of the club donate their prized plants to sell to the public. Perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetables, and house plants will be offered. In addition, the Pike County Extension Master Gardeners will be available to answer gardening questions.

The proceeds will be used to support the beautification programs in Milford Borough. The club plants and tends to over 20 flower urns along Harford and Broad streets, providing beauty, joy, and seasonal interest to the public.

In its 87th year, the Milford Garden Club’s founding members include Cornelia Pinchot and Ethyl Barckley. Members meet on the second Tuesday of each month at St Patrick’s Church Hall, March through December.

The club welcomes new members with a variety of gardening interests. For more information, email milfordgardenclub@gmail.com or follow Milford Garden Club on Facebook.
