Musical event to raise money to fight homelessness
MILFORD — Even one hungry or homeless neighbor is one too many.
Join Calling All Angels Mission for music, food, raffles, speakers and awareness from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, at Jen Murphy Studios, 113 West Harford St., Milford.
It's part of the mission's Hunger and Homelessness Awareness 2016 campaign.
"This may be listed as a fundraiser but it is really an awareness raiser," says the organization on its Facebook page. "We do not mind the cash donations, though, because this will help us raise funds for our Congregate Dining Hall."
A $10 donation will be charged at the door.
This event is still being planned. The music so far includes performances by Lenny Miller, Adam Zajac, Mark Ferguson, Olivia Zinn and Matthew King.
Calling All Angels, located at 611 Broad St. in Milford, is looking for sponsors, items to be raffled off, and food donations.
The mission will be partnering with the Ecumenical Food Pantry and Pike County Hands of Hope. For more information call 570-409-6055.
