Phoenix Caravello, 12, of Milford, crossed the Delaware on Saturday, April 26, to join the 63rd annual Small Fry Trout Fishing Contest at Sussex County Community College in Newton.
The contest was open to children 13 and younger with no entry fee. Lures were not allowed buy any bait could be used. Each child had a limit of three poles.
The contest sponsor was Sussex County PBA Local 138 and the Police Athletic League with support from local police departments, including Hamburg, Newton, Stanhope, Sussex County Sheriff’s Officers and more.
