On the roads: PennDOT District 4 releases improved traffic information

The Weekly Road Report format has been improved. The PennDOT District 4-0 Traffic Bulletin advertises current and upcoming travel restrictions scheduled on state-owned highways in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Susquehanna, Wayne and Wyoming counties.

The District 4 Traffic Bulletin is updated in real-time during normal business hours. The schedule is subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.

The Traffic Bulletin link will be emailed on Fridays each week but can be viewed at your convenience any time of the day.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadway miles by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras.

511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1 or by following regional Twitter alerts accessible on the 511PA website.
