Orange & Rockland Utilities recently donated $2,300 to Country Ark Farm, which was used to buy a new wheelchair swing (pictured). Kids in wheelchairs often miss out on many of life’s simple joys. Now, children at Country Ark are able to enjoy the experiences of swinging and summer camp. The remainder of the grant was used to buy milk replacer for the baby animals in the petting program. Country Ark is a not-for-profit community service organization that serves physically, mentally, and emotionally disabled individuals. The farm offers animal-assisted therapy programs in addition to traditional summer camp activities. (Photo provided)
