MILFORD — On April 4, Pike County Bar Association (PCBA) President Elizabeth Erickson Kameen announced the launch of the "Help For Heroes Spring Relief" program, in which the PCBA is performing a county wide Spring Relief program to donate $500 to each volunteer fire and ambulance company across Pike County.

Erickson Kameen and PCBA officers: Attorney Kelly Anne Gaughan, Attorney James Baron and former Pike County District Attorney Michael Weinstein, of the Help for Heroes Committee, were on hand to make the announcement to launch the program at the Milford Fire Department and the Milford Ambulance.

As a fire department and ambulance volunteer, Weinstein is familiar with the financial cut backs of these volunteer companies in the face of a slowed economy. HE said, “these companies provide vital services to the community and it is important to keep them funded .”

Erickson Kameen expressed gratitude to the members of the Bar Association for their constant dedication and generosity to the citizens of Pike County.

“I am very grateful to the members of the Pike County Bar Association for the launch of their Help for Heroes program, their generous donations and their continued support of the community and those who provide vital lifesaving assistance here in Pike County. The current economic climate has left many organizations facing financial hardships. If you are able, please remember to be generous with your local fire and ambulance providers."

The PCBA Help for Heroes program will continue to bring relief across the Pike County throughout spring.
