MILFORD — Milford Police Chief Jack DaSilva said there's an ongoing investigation into a fight that occurred Nov. 12 at the Dimmick Inn & Steakhouse on East Harford Street.
He said he could not comment further at this time.
A man at the Dimmick who identified himself as the manager Tuesday hung up before the Courier could ask about recent fights at the establishment, except to say it had not been on the previous night. He did not give his name.
When asked about other recent incidents at the Dimmick, DaSilva replied, “All the bars have fights.”
Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin did not respond for comment by press time.
Last year, The Courier reported an alleged beating at the inn that occurred on Feb. 15, 2015. John Jorgenson, whose family owns the restaurant, was charged in the late-night disturbance along with Timothy Reilly and Gregory Martucci.
All three were charged with aggravated assault, attempted assault, disorderly conduct, and harassment. Police responded to the inn after a 911 hang-up, Sal Pinzone, Milford Police Department Assistant Chief, said at the time.
The victim in the 2015 case was taken to Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis with a bloody nose, bloody lip and black eye.
All charges against Martucci were dismissed, according to county District Attorney Ray Tonkin, and the assault charges against Jorgenson and assault and harassment charges against Reilly were dropped. Jorgensen pled no contest to charges of disorderly conduct and harassment, and Reilly pled no contest to disorderly conduct. They were ordered to pay fines while continuing to deny responsibility.
According to the inn's website, the Jorgensen family purchased the inn in 2008.
