Scouts earn Nuclear Science Merit Badge

Together with Herb Rinkel, Scoutmaster of Troop #76, local scouts from Troop 76 & 77 recently attended a Boy Scout Nuclear Science Merit Badge Workshop at the PSEG Energy and Environmental Resource Center in Salem, N.J. The workshop included an interactive nuclear presentation; a trip to the Salem and Hope Creek nuclear site with a control room simulator tour; breakout labs; and an energy exhibit scavenger.
Boy scouts in attendance: Eagle Scout Alec Brown; Life Scout Thomas Seltzer; Star Scout Sean Rinkel; Life Scout Joey Loughney; and Eagle Scout Leland Helms (Troop #77).
