Service officer to assist veterans on June 1

HAWLEY — A Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) service officer will be available to help veterans of all ages and service eras at PA Sen. Baker’s office On Wednesday, June 1.
The office is located at 2512 Route 6, Hawley, in the lower level (rear) of the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitor’s Center.
All veterans, not just VFW members, may request appointments between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. To schedule an appointment call 570-226-5960. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended.
Baker invites veterans to use the Pennsylvania Veterans of Foreign Wars Service Officer Network to receive free information and assistance for government benefits, including Veterans Administration health care, compensation, pension, education, and dependent benefits. Surviving spouses are also entitled to these services at no charge to learn about their eligibility for VA benefits.
