Milford. Delaware Valley High School students made donations to several worthy local causes with money they won in the WVIAA Scholastic Bowl Tournament.

They made a $2,000 donation to the Port Jervis Elks Lodge #645 Children’s Christmas Project to buy winter clothing for students in the Delaware Valley School District.

Their donation of $2,000 to the GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center in Milford will help the nonprofit house and care for 10 specially selected horses who improve the quality of life of children and adults. Its programs directed by professionals in horsemanship are designed to improve mental health, education, and speech pathology. Sessions are held for veterans and first responders at no charge, and the cost for all other participants are kept affordable through donations.
