The Pike County Historical Society (PCHS) announces plans for the 2013 Summer Intern Program.

The P.C.H.S. has been hosting the program for the last 10 years and has seen many young adults successfully complete the program. This year the program is open to a larger number of young adults and will include historical interpretation at four historical sites in Pike County.

Interns should be willing to learn the history of each site, which includes The Columns Museum, Zane Grey Museum, Schocopee Schoolhouse and the Rowe Mill located in the Upper Mill complex at the Water Wheel Café.

Also included in this year’s program will be an exhibit project to be put together at the Pike County Historical Society’s museum. Training will be provided at the Columns Museum, which is the home base for the program, beginning June 5.

The program is open to young adults ages 16 to 18.

For more information contact Lori Strelecki, Museum Director of P.C.H.S., at 570-296-8126 or by e-mail at pikemuse@ptd.net.

The PCHS’s Columns Museum is located at 608 Broad Street in Milford, Pa., and is open Wednesdays, Friday 6 to 8 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. For more information visit www.pikecountyhistoricalsociety.org.
