Courtesy of Bitsy Kopfinger Sugar - ¾ to 1 cup Flour - 1 to 2 tablespoons Cinnamon - ½ to 1 teaspoon Salt - 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon Apples, peeled and sliced - 5 to 6 cups Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon Butter - 4 tablespoons Prepare pastry and roll out under crust. (Prepared crust from the frozen food section of the store will do.) Fit into a 9 inch pie pan. Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt. Spread half of the mixture over pastry lined pan. Add apples and sprinkle remainder over the apples. Sprinkle with lemon juice and dot with butter. Roll, fit and seal upper crust. Bake in hot oven (425 degrees ) for 30 to 40 minutes.
