McKean wins science award

Delaware Valley High School senior, Ben McKean, has been awarded the Bausch & Lomb Honorary Science Award and Scholarship. This award recognizes outstanding academic achievement in science by high school juniors. Ben’s selection qualifies him for a $30,000 scholarship to the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. The son of Lori and Mike McKean of Shohola, Ben plans to major in math and business in the fall. Ben, who completed the Delaware Valley High School Integrated Math and Science Honors Program, is pictured with his Honors Science teachers, Stephen Rhule, Jane Martin, and Mark Nebzydoski.
