DINGMAN - Last Friday, the Students Against Substance Abuse club from Delaware Valley High School visited Dingman Delaware Elementary School with their message of warning about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. Fifteen minute individual presentations given to the fourth and fifth grade classes included interactive activities and ways to avoid drug use. Among the topics covered were heroine, marijuana, ecstasy, and alcohol. Lauren Merikas, president of the club, said that, “we hope that after the presentations the children will have more knowledge about drugs so they can make better decisions if they are faced with the problem.” The club has plans to visit other elementary schools in the district this year.
