On Saturday, June 19, a portion of East Ann Street was blocked off when the annual United Methodist Church Flea Market began at 9 a.m. The day was long, hot and humid, but that didn’t stop hundreds of potential buyers from browsing and walking away with bargain hunters’ finds. There were all types of items for sale from antiques to stuffed animals and flowers to handmade jewelry. In the basement of the church was “Granny’s Attic” filled with specialty items and freshly baked cookies, cupcakes and breads.
