HAWLEY - Wallenpaupack Area Middle School students raised $1,100 in their Pennies For Pasta Program and they are donating it to Pike United Way to help provide much needed services in Pike County. Students brought in change for donations, and the homeroom that raised the most change per child, won a class trip to the Olive Garden restaurant. The winning homeroom, now on its way to dinner, was Mrs. Catalano’s 6th grade class, which averaged about $12 per child, totaling approximately $250 from this class alone. You, or your group, can make a donation to the United Way of Pike County; call TerriAnne at Pike United Way toll-free at 888-306-6963, or email uwpc@ptd.net.
