Mobile disaster center in Matamoras Monday

    MATAMORAS - For all Pike County residents who have sustained damage from the flooding on June 28, please be advised that through the joint efforts of PEMA, FEMA, and local officials a “mobile disaster recovery center” will be staged at the Matamoras Firehouse (corner of 6th Street and Avenue Q) on Monday, July 17, from 1 to 7 p.m. and on Tuesday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. To help to speed up the application process the following information should be available: • Your current phone number • Your address at the time of the disaster and the address Where you are now staying • Your social security number if available • A general list of damage and losses you suffered • Good directions to the property that was damaged • If insured, your insurance policy number or the agency and Company’s name • General financial information Some of the things people can accomplish at the centers include; • Inquiring about the status of an application they may have already made by phone • Assistance completeing U.S. Small Business Administration Low interest loan applications • Assistance from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in replacing a lost drivers’ license Individuals who are unable to visit the centers and have questions about disaster assistance are urged to call 800-621-FEMA(3362) (tty 1-800-462-7585 for those with speech or hearing impairment) available 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week or online at www.fema.gov
