Neugebauer selected for festival

WESTFALL - Delaware Valley High School senior string bass player Kayne Neugebauer has been accepted to perform in the PMEA District 10 Orchestra. Kayne is the first DVHS bass player to ever achieve this honor. The Orchestra Festival will be held from Jan. 24 to 27 at Easton Area High School. ”I will accompany Kayne to the festival and I am very proud of his accomplishment,” DVHS orchestra director, David Swinehart. The guest conductor will be David Ramael, who is an assistant professor of Music and director of oOrchestral Activities at Hofstra University. In addition, he has conducted many Youth and State Orchestra Festivals. The students will be playing Noah Klauss’ “Prelude for Orchestra,” Giuseppe Verdi’s “Nabucco Overture,” Franz Schubert’s “Symphony #8 (Unfinished),” Johann Strauss’ “Emperor Waltz” and selections from Hammerstein’s and Rogers’ “Oklahoma.”
