New cardiologist joins Middletown Medical

Middletown, N.Y. — David Lowenkron, M.D., F.A.C.C., specializing in Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology, has joined the medical staff at Middletown Medical, a multi-specialty physician group with offices in Middletown. After graduating magna cum laude on a Merit Scholarship from Brandeis University in Massachusetts, Dr. Lowenkron earned his medical degree from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Syracuse - College of Medicine. He pursued his post-graduation training at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, NY where he served his Internal Medicine internship and residency. He was appointed Associate Instructor of Medicine at SUNY Stonybrook and has had published research and participated in several clinical trials. Dr. Lowenkron has worked in private practice for over ten years, providing consultative hospital and outpatient cardiology services and Coronary Intensive Care Medicine. He is certified in numerous cardiac diagnostic procedures including echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear stress testing and cardiac rehabilitation. He has been active in community health initiatives, such as health screenings and programs for the elderly. Board certified in Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology, Dr. Lowenkron provides compassionate expertise for his patients and their families.
